Tutoring, Learning Pods, & Adventures

Every child learns differently, and one-on-one tutoring provides personalized instruction designed to meet your child's unique needs, strengths, and learning style. I offer gentle, encouraging support helping students build confidence while making meaningful progress in all subject areas. I love teaching reading and math. I enjoy using the All About Reading curriculum, as well as Dimensions and Primary Mathematics because they provide a strong foundation while making learning engaging, hands-on, and enjoyable for children.  Tutoring is available for $45 per hour, with weekly scheduling options of $175 per month for one one-hour session each week or $350 per month for two one-hour sessions each week. Learning is even more fun with friends! Small group classes are designed for 3–6 students of mixed ages who want to learn together in a gentle, encouraging environment. Lessons are personalized to each group's interests, parent requests, and student needs, with instruction available in all core subjects as well as enrichment units that spark curiosity through hands-on, adventure-filled learning.

History is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I love bringing the past to life through storytelling, engaging books, recipes, crafts, games, and hands-on projects that help children experience different time periods and cultures in meaningful ways. Some of my favorite curriculum resources include Story of the World and Blossom and Root, but I also enjoy pulling together the best ideas from a variety of programs to create unique learning units tailored to each group.

Past themes have included Ancient Egypt, Native Americans, Colonial America, California Gold Rush, the Middle Ages, Pioneers, Farm Life, and life cycles through raising frogs, chickens, and ducks. I also enjoy teaching practical life skills such as sewing, soap making, cooking, gardening, and other creative projects that encourage confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
